Yes. Drainage is essential, especially in Northeast Ohio, where heavy clay soil holds water and saturates quickly during spring rains and winter thaws. Without gravel backfill and, in many cases, a perforated drain pipe behind the wall, water pressure builds up and eventually pushes the wall outward. Every wall we install includes drainage designed for the site’s soil and grade.
